This article explains what images you need for your Cheerity campaign. You will be creating at least one frame design, in two different sizes/aspect ratios. This frame will be overlaid on participants photos. Plus or Team accounts have access to templates that allow for a choice of frames, which means you will need an additional asset; an icon or button that represents each frame. All campaigns also require a campaign image, in two sizes, that communicates the assignment for participants.
The square frame is the art overlaid on a participant ’s photo to create the branded piece of content that can then be shared.
Design specifications
• File type: PNG with transparent background
• Ratio: 1:1
• Resolution: At least 1080 x 1080 pixels
Canva Template
Best practices
• Test your frame with a variety of photos to make sure text is legible agains lighter and darker backgrounds.
• Consider the the amount of space your frame art takes up. A good test is to see if you can still fit a close-up selfie.
• Balance showcasing your brand personality with the desirability of the frame to participants - your frame is not an ad
A second, horizontal version of the frame is sized for the dimensions allowed for shares to the major social networks. The square participant photo can be placed in the center with creative around it, or to the left (as shown above) or right.
Design specifications
• File type: PNG with transparent background
• Ratio: 16:9
• Resolution: At least 2064 x 1080 pixels

Best practices
• Ideally, your horizontal frame closely resembles your square frame. Participants won't see the horizontal frame until they've shared to social media and should not be surprised.
• If your campaign has multiple frames to choose from, pair them with individual share frames.
• While the horizontal frame has more space, balance adding additional copy or brand elements with what your participant would like to share with friends.
If your campaign has more than one frame choice, which is an option for Plus and Team accounts, you will be asked to provide an icon for each frame. These icons will be displayed on the photo upload step and function as buttons for participants to apply different frames over their photo.
Design specifications
• File type: JPG or PNG
• Ratio: 1:1
• Resolution: At least 400 x 400 pixels

Best practices
• Your icons should represent the frames by incorporating the color, design elements or descriptive words.
• The icons are quite small in the experience; make sure to test if copy is legible.
• If you would like to use icons that are not square, you can upload PNG files with a transparent background around your shape (e.g. a circle, or square with rounded corners). Make sure the ratio of your image file is still 1:1.
Each Cheerity campaign has a campaign image that follows the same aspect ratio and size of the frames, with one square and one horizontal version for sharing to social media. Campaign images often tease the call to action and can display various frame choices.
